Formed in 2003 by Former HBA Inner Atlanta Chapter President Neal Creech, Atlanta-based Creech Custom Builders works side-by-side with families throughout the design and construction phases of custom building and remodeling projects. In addition, President and CEO Neal Creech has partnered with Georgia Power to save Atlanta-based families money on their monthly utility bills through certified energy audits.

CUSTOM BUILDING
Creech Custom Builders designs and constructs $1.2 to $3 million custom homes and remodels in the Springlake, Wood Valley, Sherwood Forest, Capital City Club and Londonberry areas of Buckhead. Our team has made it our top priority to meet with each client’s family to know their likes, dislikes, wants and needs to ensure each step of the design and building process is simple, cost effective and productive.
To ensure a stress-free building process, Creech Custom Builders offers the following step-by-step plan customized specifically with each family’s goals in mind.

Step 1: Pre-Foundation

Step 2: Pre-drywall
Before the building construction begins, Creech hands each of his clients pre-foundation and pre-drywall selection sheets that pinpoint each item, whether it be cabinetry, granite, crown molding or specific types of brick.

“We ask them to begin thinking about and selecting what they want for their home before we start building so that they are not stressed towards the end of construction,” Creech said. “These decisions should not be made in haste, and we want them to have plenty of time to chew on them. It also helps our vendors, because the likelihood of back-orders is slim to none.”

Step 3: Biweekly meetings
After clients select each component and fixture they would like to have in their dream home and construction begins, Creech schedules meetings every two weeks with each client.

“These meetings are to keep everyone up to speed and at ease. Our company operates transparently, side-by-side with our clients. Everything we know, they should know,” Creech said.

Step 4: Change-order System
By meeting every two weeks, Creech Custom Builders’ clients are able to see each design and construction process. If a family wishes to change any feature they selected in Steps 1 and 2, Creech Custom Builders has designed a prompt “Change-order System.”

“This enables our clients to make changes after knowing how much something will cost or look,” Creech said. “This is crucial because there are other costs that can be incurred if the project is on hold to get the true price. By specifying everything with our customers, they know exactly what they are getting and how much it will, or could, cost.”

RENOVATIONS
On average, Creech Custom Builders speaks with several families a week who have decided to postpone selling their home in favor of renovating. By investing in remodeling, current home values increase and families can oversee additions at their own pace.

The importance of family drives many of Creech Custom Builders’ designs because we know first hand the importance of utilizing space to benefit and celebrate family. Our team works tirelessly – from the design phase to construction – to ensure everyone’s needs are met. There is no limit to how small or how big renovations can be. At Creech Custom Builders, we attempt to provide a 25-percent return on value to the homeowner.

ENERGY AUDITS
Creech Custom Builders has partnered with Georgia Power to improve the energy performance in Atlanta-area homes. The electric company is now offering a $200 rebate to homeowners who receive an ENERGY STAR audit assessment and up to $1,600 in rebates for homeowners who implement energy-efficient improvements.

Over the past few months, Neal Creech, a certified ENERGY STAR auditor, has helped drastically reduce Atlanta-area families’ monthly utility bills. By simply using tax incentive water heaters and HVAC equipment and ensuring windows and ductwork are sealed properly, a substantial amount of money can be saved.

In many of Atlanta’s older homes, families are living in uncomfortable temperature and ventilation settings due to careless renovations. At Creech Custom Builders, our combined knowledge of building and energy efficiency can truly change how a room feels. By incorporating insulation, heating and ventilation, along with drywall and repainting, an experienced remodeler and energy auditor such as Neal Creech can reverse the problem.

In fact, our expertise in performing energy audits was recently profiled in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Click here to view the article.
If you are interested in receiving an energy audit, Creech Custom Builders would love to work with you and your family.
